Poker Addiction
Recently I found I grew more addicted towards Poker, as some of you whom are aware how the game Texas poker is being played for the beneficial of the doubt each players are being dealt with 2 hold cards and a round of betting is to begin.
A player are given 3 options 1) Raise 2) Call 3) Fold, after the 1st round of betting 3 cards are being dealt by the dealer which are call "Community Cards" or also known as the "Flop" the commencing of second round of betting then begins from the small blind which is towards the right of the dealer same options are being given to each player once it ends the dealer would then burn a card and deal the 4th card which is known as the "Turn" same thing goes for the 3rd round of betting and then comes the "River" which is the 5th card which adds all up to 5 cards on the board the winner would be based on the best 5 card combination one can have. Here's a list of ranked hands can be found http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hand_rankings
Live cash game at (tampiness) it was rather a last min thingy from my mate "Darryl" he was like "eh bro you wanna play some poker anot tampiness" and I was like oh okay why not man I was still recovering from the bad calls I made for the past few weeks was down for my first buy in and it just went downhill the term commonly used "on tilt".
Anyway it was my first time since I started playing poker with a group of strangers that I barely know, it was a micro stakes so you know I got nothing to lose so I went there and had my fun, but apparently I always felt even at small stakes level the players determine how aggressive the game will flow. You'll get to see alot of preflop raisers, playing their position, raisers raise 10x the big blind or even more. The table was aggressive and this guys are not you average joe players these dudes are here for some catch up time but no limit poker is considered high risk with high returns.
Couple of hands I manage to recalled I had pockets 9s I was 2nd last to act the dude raise on the button the rest fold to the guy on my right he calls I decided to reraise to the min. the button then call and the caller calls again. flop was T T Jack caller checks, i check button raise as usual with a value raise of 1/3 of the pot so caller calls i say hmm why not i call the turn was a T caller checks I check button check.
I was quite amazed with his check probably trying to trap or slow play his jacks so river came a King caller checks as usual because of his position I check button came in with a strong raise like over betting caller thinks and stop for like 2 mins before mucking the hand and it came back to me I did the same thing and was just curious if i should call that over bet I put him on T fulls with jacks and I was like hmm.. very tricky raise on the river than I decided to muck the hand and said well played he shows the bluff 6 2 off suit and i was like wow..
I wanted to find out what does he has and whispered to him, he told me he had pocket 8s wanted to call but because of I was still in the game he feared I had the nuts furthermore he had no position and I was like wow you will call him? he said yeah why not just that I'm afraid of you thats all.
It was quite a day manage to broke even after 4 buy in because of extreme aggressive play from the table and got like 3 bad beat enough to send me home haha oh well I've manage to grow in my poker knowledge
Cheers

It has been a really long time since I last blog , had that lazy attitude and can't be bother to blog attitude. Well as you all know that I recently graduated from my diploma.. (wow finally after 3 years) well time flies they all mention and indeed and I'm back to where it all started.
Crossroads/pathways or some prefer to put it one's life journey, upon graduating from my school majority of us are still wondering around hoping for a sign or an enlightment some where, unfortunately things aren't the way things are so we all have to take the intiative to find what we're looking for. Well for the gentlemen we have an extra of 2 years to really find or think what we want to achieve in the up and coming future for us. Whereas for the ladies good luck in finding what you may like or what you may consider.
Cheers,

Should we pump money to develop Elite Sports people?
Wednesday, September 24, 2008 6:09 AM

Should taxpayers be supporting elite sportsmen/sportswomen or should it be left to the private sector? Some countries took on supporting their sportsmen/sportswomen in financial support, healthcare support, and moral support from the citizens.
Other’s felt that this should be left to the private sectors, which have been pumping in millions of dollars to develop players, potential giving them the state of the art facilities to conduct their training, investing in Research & development without aid from the government.
How I see this situation in Singapore is I feel the sporting industry in Singapore has been developing over the years. We saw up’s and down’s, history making in its process and I for one believe that we had made a huge impression to the world on how our red dot punch a pack. Our athletes did extremely well during regional competitions such as the ASEAN games, the Commonwealth games as well, we managed to train our athletes to their fullest potential and further extend our glory by winning a medal in the Olympics. As for our Para Olympians they did well by winning a gold medal for our country and I’m extremely proud of them.
Mentioning all of the above achievements and glory, this was the help of our fellow Singaporean citizens. The government has put a side of the budget into developing sports industry and that money comes from taxpayers. There are certain resolvable issues that arise from the minorities but I believe the majority of the Singaporeans don’t mind, in fact they are very supportive in how the government take the appropriate measures. As of that they are aware that the next generations will be the one that are being affected as well.
However I see it in a different angle as well instead of private sector controlling it without the help of government support why not have it best of both worlds. Taxpayer’s should support in participation in terms of providing the numbers and private sector should support in financially by bringing in the big bucks. A good example would be the annual standard chartered marathon I believe it’s considered a healthy example of both the public and private sectors working hand in hand to achieve a single goal.So Yes, Tax payers should help developed Elite sports people due to - Our country is still developing it's Sporting Industry
- It shows our form of Encouragement to the Sports people
- If private sectors gain full control of it, you never know what would it end up to.
- A form of government intervention should be present to enforce code of governance

Human Relationship
Saturday, July 19, 2008 1:15 AM

In a person there are certain aspects of life they developed in.
- The first Aspect , Wisdom & Knowledge as we grow older we gain more wisdom & knowledge from books, from our peers and elders, Evaluating & Analysis tools which will gauage and not forgeting our past vacrious experiences.
- The Second Aspect are skills within our motor development, our body movement tend to increase or react differently as we age or how our brain function or react to things and not forget our agility or reaction sense increases.
- The Third Aspect is our emotional, as we become older we develop ourself to become more matured and we handle our emotions better from the different setbacks we gain or experiences we face in our journey.

Human Relationship was never an easy task to be manage, a Quote from a wise man; "Having a dream or goal is not easy." "Obtaining the goals is hard!" "But Sustaining it is even harder!" It would rather be strange if there wasn't any problems or obstacle when it comes to human relationships, due to one very simple fact ," Man satisfaction can never be fullifed , it's a double edge sword it can be driven as a goal or motivation it also can cause to one's downfall." Greed is one of the factors that made man's downfall.
If YOU are able to manage your relationship well it goes to show you can manage almost anything in the world - I for you agree with this statement. Before you love someone, do a favour and ask yourself do you love yourself? How can one love another person yet he/she does not love him/herself.

Emotions brings Life to a whole new level imagine a world without emotions.Things to ponder about.. How Do I love Myself , What on bloody earth kind of question is that? How I can if he/she is the right one I'm Looking for? How can I tell her my true feelings without hurting him/her feelings? How...... Only time will tell & When that time is right YOU! will know it for yourself... Not your peers, family, teachers or partner can tell you..
Code of Goverance
1:01 AM

There are 4 issues when it comes to corporate governance in a public listed company, I’ll cover and deeper insight on the different issues. (1) The structure, organization and membership of companies’ boards of directors (2) The accountability of boards to shareholders (who own companies) and other stakeholders (3) The transparency of governance standards and processes and (4) The quality of companies’ communications about these and other issues.
- The Structure, Organization and membership of companies’ boards of directors there must be a clearly define organization structure so as there will be a clearly define roles and responsibilities when it comes decision making
- The Accountability of boards to shareholders (who own Companies) and other stakeholders , as a public listed company there are more stakeholders as compared to a private listed company. There must be someone that incharge like the CEO or the COF to report to the boards of directors and shareholders because the avoid internal corruptions, fraud or company funds being embezzle. The board of directors has to govern the company or watch over to prevent such movements or incidents from happening.
- The transparency of governance standards and processes must be present because it concern the interest of the stakeholders and again to prevent any corruptions and not hide any information from the public or skateholders.
- The Quality of companies’ communications about these and other issues as a public listed they have to account their transaction or development transparently and not forgetting the accuracy of information, because of they are public listed company and forms of government intervention would then be present in order no form of corruptions and information being sent to the public must be transparent as well
For individual organisations, improving standards of governance is most certainly not a ‘one off’ exercise that can be completed and then forgotten. Instead, it is a continuing process of review and renewal, that needs to drive real changes across an organisation. The opportunity is huge, but the challenge and commitment required should not be underestimate.
This shows that there are a lot of procedure when it comes to public listed company, we’ve discuss the advantages and disadvantages of being a public listed as compared to a private listed. However, I would like to present an issue that has not being brought up during the meetings. Which is Red Tapes and developmental stages.
There would be more red tapes to follow and S.O.P when the company face a form of transaction, disadvantages would be it takes time to process and on top of that time equates opportunity and opportunity equates more profits so it’s rather contradicting as a company develops there would be increases in profits which is what the stakeholders interest however with all these procedure it reduces or hinders companies development. I as an individual agree the fact that without these code of governance temptations and forms of corruptions might occur and the percentages of it occurring is rather high.
Food for thought, how can company reduce the procedures and be able upheld their code of governance to increase company’s profits and development that is a question I’ve yet to find out.
